A hybrid and bilingual event, Advancing Disability Rights, was hosted by the University of Ottawa on October 3, 2025, at 10:30AM-12:30PM ET. Guest speakers were Sophie Mitra (founder of the Disability Data Initiative) and Deborah Stienstra (Principal Investigator of the Engendering Disability–Inclusive Development partnership).
The panelists discussed how Canadian universities, and particularly the University of Ottawa, are enhancing accessibility and promoting excellence for people with disabilities.
