In November 2022, the South Africa team hosted an EDID workshop in Johannesburg. The workshop celebrated the achievements of girls and women with disabilities in South Africa, raised awareness against bias, as well as highlighted the many important issues they still experience as we move forward to take actions for equality. This workshop follows the success of another workshop hosted by the South Africa team and their partners at the South African Disability Alliance (SADA) this past May, which focused on identifying challenges and priorities for girls and women with disabilities in South Africa.
